| What you see | Next step | What this can establish |
|---|---|---|
| DLC is listed as owned but rewards are absent | Update the game, check installed/enabled DLC, close and relaunch. [1][2] | Tests the delivery path covered by v1.1.11 and the developer’s instructions. |
| Expected EA/preorder DLC is not listed as owned | Record the purchase date, expected bonus and missing entitlement; contact support. [3][2] | Ownership needs review. Repeatedly toggling a nonexistent DLC entry is not a meaningful check. |
| You are waiting for Kickstarter console or physical rewards | Use the campaign updates referenced by the official FAQ. [3] | Backer fulfilment is separate from the Steam installed-DLC checklist. |
For owned DLC: the documented checks
- Install the available game update. v1.1.11, published 15 October, says purchased and activated DLC should apply after updating. Confirm your installed version rather than assuming a download completed. [1]
- Open Steam Library → right-click Ratatan → Properties → DLC. Check that the relevant listed content is installed and enabled. This is the developer Crow’s advice in the player thread; it is not a way to add a missing licence. [2]
- Fully close and relaunch Ratatan. The FAQ says eligible bonuses are added to inventory at launch with a title-screen notification; a game running at purchase time should be restarted. [3]
- Check the result once, then record it. If rewards still do not appear, note which DLC is listed and enabled, the game version, and whether the title-screen notification appeared. Do not label the problem fixed simply because the patch is installed.
What the player reports do—and do not—show
In the research snapshot of this thread, we identified eight distinct reporting players: Ciber24, Olias, Qwarrock, CRAYON EATER, 霓虹甜心, EugeneFox, Allen Bishopman and MokiRing. That snapshot contained eleven replies including a developer response and repeat participation. Later comments may increase the total. This is a count of reports, not eight successful repairs or a failure rate. [2]
The original poster said the expected content was not owned, while other replies continued to describe missing EA rewards after the hotfix. These reports are enough to keep an ownership branch in this checklist; they do not establish why every account is affected. The FAQ still says EA owners are eligible for the early preorder bonuses. [2][3]
If the entitlement is missing
Keep your purchase confirmation private. In a support request, identify the platform, purchase date, game edition, expected bonus, installed version and whether the DLC appears in the account. Add screenshots that hide personal payment information. Use the support/feedback entry in the official Steam FAQ ↗ (external site, opens in a new tab).
Do not buy the same entitlement again as a troubleshooting step. The official FAQ says Early Access owners do not need to repurchase the full game. We have not tested these remedies on an affected account. This page is date-sensitive: evidence checked 19 October 2026; new entitlement guidance could replace the unresolved branch. [3]
